Mt. Vernon, NY, December 2016—The holiday season is about giving back, spreading holiday cheer and bringing positivity and happiness to others. To that end, the team at Unitex wanted to help make the holidays a little brighter for kids and their families at three local hospitals in New Jersey and New York. In previous years, Unitex visited St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey and Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, also in New Jersey, to celebrate the holiday season with crafting fun and presents.  The team was invited back to both hospitals earlier this month to decorate holiday ornaments and stockings with patients, their families and staff, and the celebrations were festive and fun for everyone.

The team at Unitex also visited St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside, New York for a holiday celebration that will hopefully become an annual event like the programs at the hospitals in New Jersey. In addition to bringing gifts for the patients, Unitex led a holiday card making activity for the children and staff.

“While giving back is important all year long, the holiday season is extra special,” said David Potack, Vice President of Unitex. “It is an honor to work with these hospitals in such an important way and to be part of their holiday events. At Unitex, giving back is a huge part of our business model and we are fortunate to have the partners to do this with, especially during this time of year.”
