Elmsford, NY, August 2017—The kids at Hackensack University Medical Center had a nice surprise from the team at Unitex, a leader in the healthcare laundry industry. Typically, Unitex visits the hospital during the holiday season, but this year, the team wanted to throw an extra special summer party for the kids and their families alike. Every kid was gifted a cool summertime inspired present and they even had the chance to take part in a fun crafting project. Water toys, selfie sticks and gift cards were some of the special surprise presents delivered to every kid by the Unitex team. The goal was to bring smiles to everyone and share a special moment with the kids and their families.

“There is no question that giving back is important to us,” said David Potack, President of Unitex. “We have worked with the team at Hackensack University Medical Center for years now and we wanted to create a special summer program for their patients. While most people think that giving back is only synonymous with the holiday season, we feel that it’s important to bring cheer and happiness to these kids and their families all-year long.  We are fortunate to have a partner like Hackensack University Medical Center and we look forward to many more events and special occasions with their hospital in the future.”
