Newburgh, NY, June 10, 2014- Unitex, a regional business with locations throughout the Northeast (including Newburgh), and a leader in the healthcare laundry industry, supports the city of Newburgh on many levels from education and community programs to helping revitalize the city through the Greater Newburgh Project. In recent light of gun incidences in Newburgh, Unitex has decided to step in and help support The Newburgh Gun Buyback in efforts to help keep guns off the street and make the city safer for the whole community. Unitex made a $500 contribution to help support the new program.
“We are extremely connected to the city of Newburgh and are on board to help do whatever it takes to make it safer,” said David Potack, Vice President of Unitex and Chairman, Greater Newburgh Partnership. “We are working closely with the Greater Newburgh Partnership to help revitalize this amazing city so it was a natural fit to make a contribution to this program. We are hoping this effort will positively impact the community and make it safer for its residents.”
In addition to The Newburgh Gun Buyback, Unitex also supports many other programs and local organizations in Newburgh.
